Weapon rendering using photos, a demo I recorded for my students, you check out the descriptions on the video! (Might be abit lengthy though! cause i didnt want to speed it up too much for my students )
Did some slight tweaks on the images I posted up here though.
Just watched the video, really impressive and i learned some things !
Even if you don't post a lot of videos i always learn something ! Thanks !
I'd love to get feedback from you one day,i would probably level up instantly x)
(The coke can is awesome too! ;D)
Cool sword though.Same with the hatchet.
Amazing design, and awesome textures! This is a really cool concept!
like how you're thinking
Coca-Cola IS the perfect fuel for making fire swords!
Fallout did not lie with Nuka-Cola!
I love the combos :0 !
In practice I guess it could work on intimidation and executions but that's it.
I could see it working as an intimidation factor, but anyone who lets themselves be intimated by their opponent's weapon has no business in a fight in the first place, so it's really only good for terrifying unarmed civilians; executions render the blade to a strictly ceremonial position wherein it can showcase the owner's power, in which case, wouldn't something fancier and highly decorated be better? That's what was often done with executioner's swords during the renaissance, after all.
That said, if the weapon were to assume roughly similar proportions (thickness, width, distal tapering) as, say, the Uruk swords from the Lord of the Rings movies, it could be a pretty fearsome weapon and, if you were to go to the extra effort to ensure that the jets were producing a cool flame and angled them so only radiant heat was touching the edge, you could even keep the flame jets without utterly ruining the blade's temper; it's just a lot of work for a weapon that isn't terribly good at its job and has inherent risks (and I'm saying that despite the Shishkebab being one of my favorite melee weapons in the Fallout world).
I just meant that when it gets untempered it'll be soft and will deform easily. And I guess you don't want your weapon to bend like it's made of clay.
However, sure, it would do some damage anyway.
Now we need someone to make a mod.
